"Have fun, make mistakes and learn!"
From May-June 2025, I studied abroad to immerse myself within the Sevillano culture for my last formal Spanish classes.
Led and taught by Profe. James McConnell, Senior Lecturer, Spanish Language Department

To be or not to be Sevillano..
For 5 weeks I spent my time in Sevilla, Spain studying the language, culture and surrounding technologies. I met new people and connected with the local culture. Throughout my time my spanish skills improved, I made mistakes (e.g. taking the wrong bus to class!) and ate amazing Sevillano foods.
Although, I did not have a host family, hearing my peers stories of their living situations and how they learned of traditions inspired me!
Final Presentation
A classmate and I gave a presentation, fully in Spanish, on the Setas of Seville.
